GATX Rail Europe is a leading, full-service railcar lessor offering a high-quality and diversified fleet to over 20 European countries. With an experienced, service-oriented team, the company is focused on making railcar leasing and rail transport simple, efficient, and seamless.
To manage their fleet of around 30,000 wagons with top efficiency and to provide up-to-date information on hired fleet to their customers GATX equipped their wagons with telematic devices and enlisted services of Europe’s leading telematic data providers to ensure timely and accurate collection of telematics data.
To receive and capture the data is, however, only half of the success – the other half is its timely and failure-proof transformation and delivery to end customers. This is where BlueSoft, with our 20 years of experience and foundation in system integration, came into play.
Solution
We were approached to design, implement and launch an integration solution to deliver telematic data to consumers. Key goals behind the project included producing a highly available, error-proof, auto-scalable integration platform, easy to maintain and open for further applications. The solution was to replace a legacy integration platform and extend its functionality.
