Agrolok operates in the agricultural sector, providing products and solutions for farms, including crop protection products. For its sales team, being able to quickly match the company’s offering to a specific situation – such as a crop issue or the need for a particular treatment – is essential. Sales representatives therefore need both a strong understanding of the company’s portfolio and quick access to information that helps them respond effectively to customer needs.
Agrolok employees used a wide range of company materials and documents stored in the internal ERP system as part of their day-to-day work. They also created their own resources to support specific tasks. The information they needed was therefore available, but spread across different materials and sources, making it harder to find the right answer quickly and intuitively.
Product recommendations used by the sales team were a particularly important area. Previously, the information needed to identify suitable solutions was stored in various formats, including text files and infographics. For the AI project, this information was organized in an XLSX file, creating a structured data source that could be used by the assistant.
At the same time, Agrolok wanted to retain control over which products appeared in the recommendations. The goal was not only to identify a product that matched a specific need, but also to take the company’s sales priorities into account.
Agrolok needed a solution that would bring together its distributed internal resources and practical sales support. One that would allow employees to focus on the question they needed to answer, rather than on where to look for that answer.
The first area covers materials and documents available in the internal knowledge base. Users do not need to know where a particular file is stored or browse through documents themselves. They can simply ask a question in natural language, and the assistant finds relevant information and uses it to generate an answer. Questions can relate to products and crop protection as well as information contained in the company’s internal materials.
The product recommendation system is a particularly distinctive part of the solution. The assistant uses structured data provided by Agrolok to help match products to the situation described by the user. A sales representative can start with what they have heard from a customer – for example, symptoms affecting a particular crop – and receive suggestions for products that may address the identified problem.
The mechanism also takes Agrolok’s priorities into account. The company can specify which products should be recommended first when they match a particular need. This allows the assistant to combine relevant product guidance with sales context and support customer conversations in line with current business priorities.
Adapting the solution to the pace of the sales process was another important part of the project. Once the assistant was in use, it became clear that in some situations – particularly during a live customer conversation – response time could be just as important as the level of detail. Two response modes were therefore introduced, allowing users to choose between a faster or a more detailed answer depending on what they need at that moment.
The assistant was launched in June 2026 and delivered to Agrolok as a SaaS solution. BlueSoft is responsible for its maintenance, ongoing support and further development. This allows future improvements to be driven directly by user experience and feedback.
This is particularly valuable in sales. The existing recommendation system has been transformed into a format that better reflects the flow of a customer conversation. Sales representatives can focus on the problem being discussed and the potential solutions, rather than on navigating the tool itself. As a result, resources Agrolok already had can be used more easily at the point where they matter most – during interactions with customers.
The assistant was launched in June 2026. Two months later, the number of users was approaching 300, and in August alone, they exchanged around 3,000 messages with the assistant.
The project also gives Agrolok a foundation for expanding its use of AI. The company started with specific use cases addressing real business needs, while the assistant can continue to evolve based on how people use it in practice.
Client’s view
Head of Marketing, Agrolok“From the start, we wanted a solution that would fit the way our sales representatives actually talk to customers and recommend products. BlueSoft understood this process very well and translated it into an easy-to-use AI solution.
We also value the flexibility of our collaboration – the solution did not stop evolving when it went live but continues to develop based on how we use it in practice. When we saw that response time was critical during customer conversations, we worked together to adapt the solution to this scenario. This approach shows that BlueSoft is more than a technology provider – it is a team that understands our business and responds to our real needs.”
